It Holds been stupid hot all hebdomad here in Melbourne and its only early Nov ( take that you global climate change sceptics Large-minded party nuff-nuffs ). It Holds the season when I look at my Ravelry queue and my shapes and believe `` what should I knit now? ''
I ever bump Interweave Knits Springtime and Summertime to be a trifle lightweight, I make n't care short sleeved jumpers or knitted singlet tops and make n't get me commenced on knitted skirts. The existent trade comes on in Fall and Wintertime which is course my springtime and summertime! At 35 grades, whilst a just islet jumper looks terribly nice in a image, it would turn into a large sweaty felted ball in my lap.
So what should I knit in summertime? I already hold produced a few Liesls
but even they wo n't straighten out of day in these temperatures. Socks are out. Shawls are out. Looks like I will be doing a clump of wash textiles and stubby holders! Any suggestions?....
I am presently reading The Night Watch by Sarah Waters
, another one of Waters ' lovely lesbo-tales, this clip placed in WW2 London. There is a little of knitting travelling on the narrative overly and I hold but come across some free 1940s shapes on the Victoria & Albert Museum website
Peradventure I should knit myself some saucy fishnets...
